Types of Ship Chartering

The charterer takes on the ship's responsibilities and bears the costs. It can carry out any shipping activity within the limits of the contract's issues while being a partner in the ship's profit and loss. Bareboat Charter, Demise Charter

This method, known as "demise charter" in international shipping jargon, has been used since ancient times. It is the polar opposite of the word demise, which has the meaning of transfer or departure.

The process of transferring all rights and responsibilities of the ship to the charterer for a set period of time is known as a bareboat charter contract. In this method, the lessor, or ship owner, does not provide any services or personnel with the ship.
